About Janet DeLapp
I was given my first camera when was 10 years of age, a Kodak Instamatic. Also known as a "point and shoot" camera. Easy to use. I used that camera for years. It wasn't until I was 19 that I was gifted my first SLR Canon camera. A gift I truly treasured. Now the real learning and work began. I stayed with the Canon line until the Sony Mirrorless came out and have used that line ever since. At first the photography I took was of places and people, basically pointing and shooting with very little else in mind. Over the years I have honed my skills through all means of education, managed camera clubs, ran cameras swap meets, entered contests and kept shooting whatever interested me. Mostly I like any thing in nature, landscapes, waterscapes, plants, and birds. I do some abstract but I seem to like that more than most other people. I have tried studio work taking people and pet portraits, but did not get the joy out it as I do nature. There is just something very Zen about being in nature and composing and waiting for that best shot opportunity. I hope you enjoy my work. Thank you. Janet DeLapp
